Acceptance of Terms
By using VidCompress, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all users including guests, free account holders, and Pro subscribers.
Description of Service
VidCompress provides online video compression services. Compatible files under 300 MB may be processed entirely in your browser using the MediaRecorder API. Larger files or certain browser configurations may use cloud processing.
User Responsibilities
You agree to use VidCompress only for lawful purposes and only with video content you have the right to process. You must not upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, contains illegal material, or violates applicable laws.
Data and Privacy
Files compressed in local mode never leave your device. Files processed via cloud mode are uploaded securely, processed, and made available for download via time-limited signed URLs. We do not retain your video files beyond what is necessary to deliver the result. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Subscriptions and Billing
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $4.9/month. You may cancel at any time from billing settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
VidCompress is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for loss of data, indirect damages, or business interruption. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of VidCompress after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email.
